Fresh Mulch and Clean Edges at a Trenton TN Property

This property had good bones - a classic two-story brick home with great curb presence. But the beds had gotten away from it. Overgrown shrubs, no clean separation between the lawn and the planting areas, and zero mulch to tie it all together. It's the kind of thing that happens gradually, and before you know it the whole front just looks neglected.

We came in and handled the full cleanup first. That means clearing out the dead growth, pulling back what didn't belong, and getting the beds ready to actually hold mulch properly. You can't skip that step. If you throw fresh mulch on top of a mess, it still looks like a mess - just a messier one.

Once the beds were cleaned up and edged, we laid fresh dark mulch throughout - across the front beds, along both sides of the walkway, and down the side of the house. The contrast between the dark mulch and the brick really stands out. The beds look intentional now, not like an afterthought.

The side of the house got the same treatment. That bed along the driveway was overgrown and had no definition at all. We cleared it out, cut it back, and laid fresh mulch tight to the timber border. It's one of those spots people don't think about until it looks bad - and now it doesn't.
