Vacant properties have a way of getting away from you fast. Without regular maintenance, overgrown bushes start swallowing the building, weeds take over the beds, and the whole place starts looking like nobody cares - even if you do. That's exactly what we were working with at this former bank on 22nd Ave in Humboldt.
The shrubs along the front and sides had grown completely out of control, pressing up against the building and spreading well beyond the bed lines. The Japanese maple near the entrance was healthy and full of color, but it needed to be shaped up and brought back into proportion with the building. Weeds had taken over what used to be clean planting beds. The whole property just looked neglected.
We came in and cleared out the overgrown bushes, cut back the overgrowth along every wall, and cleaned up the beds throughout the property. The Japanese maple got a proper trim - cleaned up underneath and shaped so the canopy can actually be appreciated instead of buried in surrounding brush. It's a nice tree. It deserved better than what it had going on around it.
What a difference a good landscape cleanup makes on a commercial building. The walls are visible again, the entrance looks approachable, and the property reads as maintained rather than abandoned. For a vacant property, that matters a lot - whether you're prepping it for a tenant, a sale, or just keeping it from becoming an eyesore on a busy street.
We handle commercial landscape cleanups and tree and shrub trimming for all kinds of properties - vacant buildings, active businesses, you name it. If your property needs some attention, we know exactly what to do with it.
